Welcome to the home page of the De Anza College orchestra. We're a community orchestra as well as a class taught at De Anza in Cupertino (how to sign up).
We began our Winter 2006 quarter with a concert held over from the fall. Now we're gearing up for this quarter's concert (the ad; printable), to be held at 7pm in De Anza's room A-11 ("A1" on the campus map which includes parking). We've picked some fun and interesting pieces, in part to take advantage of our recently-enhanced percussion secion. :)
We are always looking for new players in all symphonic sections. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the communications manager, Soren Spies, at sspies+daco@bigw.org or show up to a Thursday night rehearsal. Prior orchestral experience is helpful but not required.
We practice from 7pm-10pm on Thursday nights in De Anza's room A-31 (inside the shaded building "A3" on this campus map -- note the big parking structure). De Anza itself is at Stevens Creek and Highway 85 (directions).
(please link to us; we'll eventually have a fancier site and we'd like to show up in search engines someday :)
