Welcome to the home page of the De Anza College orchestra. We're a community orchestra and a class taught at De Anza in Cupertino (sign up now online).
Registration is now open to join the orchestra for 2007-2008! Feel free to contact the communications manager, Soren Spies, (sspies+daco@bigw.org) or the director, Loren Tayerle (dacoperforms@yahoo.com) with any questions. Prior orchestral experience is helpful but not required.
The first rehearsal for Fall quarter will be on September 27th, 2007 at 7pm. If there's something you want to play, let Loren know. If you have friends who play instruments, get them involved. Put up a poster wherever you work or play.
We practice from 7pm-10pm on Thursday nights in De Anza's room A-31 (inside the shaded building "A3" on this campus map -- note the big parking structure -- parking is $2). De Anza itself is at Stevens Creek and Highway 85 (directions).
We'll be playing two concerts in December. The first will be at De Anza College and the second will be accompanying a sing-along Messiah in Morgan Hill.
The concert will be held on December 6th, 8:00PM, at De Anza College, Room A-31
(inside

De Anza is at Stevens Creek
and Highway 85.
Bike and car parking are available.
Hosted by Advent Lutheran Church, the sing-along is on Saturday, December 8th, 2007 at 4:00 pm. The public is invited.
